Responsible for the development of an overall project QAQC Plan and Implementation Procedures for a regional radio communications system project. Develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring results. Communicate directly with internal and external project team members to facilitate initial QA plan development and procedures.
Develop and maintain project quality plans and procedures by conducting interviews and reviewing internal and external project team quality plans and standards. Review and revise project procedures in order to align day to day work practices with industry standards. Conduct Quality Audits and report findings per the contract specifications. Meet with team members to correct deficiencies and provide corrective action plans and follow up inspections accordingly.
Technical knowledge and skills are those normally achieved through a BS in Engineering, Construction Management and related disciplines and /or equivalent.
Applicant must be trained as a Lead Auditor in a Registrar Accreditation Board of the American Society for Quality (RABASQ) approved course on the requirements of ISO 9001 and with a minimum of 7 years of related experience including a minimum of 5 years of management positions in a production, manufacturing, or construction environment performing QA/QC auditing. Transit industry experience is preferred.
