Utility Superintendent

Heavy Civil Construction Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000

Our client is a dynamic, heavy civil contractor dedicated to excellence in underground utility construction. We are seeking a skilled Utility Superintendent to lead our projects and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

Position Overview: As the Utility Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing underground utility construction projects, including water, sewer, storm drain, and site utility installations. This position is perfect for a proactive field leader with a proven track record in managing complex projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Daily Operations: Oversee all aspects of field operations for underground utility projects, ensuring efficient and effective execution.
• Team Management: Supervise crews and subcontractors, managing equipment and materials to optimize performance.
• Project Coordination: Facilitate the installation of water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Timely Project Completion: Ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications and regulations.
• Technical Proficiency: Read and interpret plans, profiles, and utility drawings with precision to guide project execution.
• Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with Project Managers, inspectors, and clients to maintain open lines of communication and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Superintendent or Foreman in utility construction, with a strong focus on water, sewer, and storm drain installations.
• Technical Skills: Extensive experience in site development and heavy civil projects, with the ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
• Leadership Qualities: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage teams and projects.
• Certifications: OSHA certification preferred.
