Program Manager

Our client, a leading player in the Aerospace and Department of Defense (DOD) contractor space, is seeking a skilled and motivated Program Manager to join their dynamic team at their corporate HQ in Columbia, Maryland. The Program Manager will be pivotal in overseeing products and services programs within the DOD/Aerospace community, managing them from inception through completion.

Responsibilities:

– Lead and manage programs, ensuring successful execution from proposal development to program closeout.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute program plans, schedules, and budgets.

– Participate in negotiations and proposal development to secure new contracts and opportunities.

– Oversee risk management, cost budgeting, technical performance, and quality and safety standards adherence.

– Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

– Direct company resources and coordinate efforts to meet contractual requirements and project schedules.

– Assume a deputy capacity on select programs as directed by the Director of Program Management.

– Maintain an active DOD Secret clearance and stay updated with industry trends and regulations.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

– Proven experience (8 + years) in the Aerospace and Department of Defense sector program management.

– Strong understanding of DOD contracting procedures, regulations, and compliance.

– Demonstrated success in proposal development, negotiations, and managing complex projects.

– Active DOD Secret clearance is mandatory.

– Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
